"Free Iced Lattes" was a combined social media and digital display ad campaign to advertise Brookfield Church's iced latte giveaway during move-in weekend at Ohio University. The concept combines the warm colors of summer and the handwritten vibe of a coffee shop to catch the attention of Instagram users. The landscape-oriented ad fit two digital displays in the windows of the church facing the street. The two square ads were consecutive slides of one ad space, where users could swipe left to see further details when the headline, "Free Iced Lattes" caught their attention. The portrait-oriented ad was used on Instagram Stories and Snapchat Stories.
Part of a campaign to advertise our outdoor church services during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, the "BYOC" (Bring Your Own Chair) Instagram ad caught students' attention with an eye-popping and intriguing spin on the popular acronym, "BYOB" (most commonly representing "Bring Your Own Beer," but often adapted to fit other contexts). The three photos were linked together in one ad space, where the BYOC slide aimed to spark curiosity that would lead the user to swipe left to the next two slides. Users could click the ad link which took them to a page on our website that gave service details.
Another two-slide Instagram ad, this concept had a broader target than just students. It was run during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and aimed to inform the general public that Brookfield had begun meeting outside and offered an online service for those who could not attend.
